Penny is a wondeful adult Beagle. She can be vocal when need be, but for the most part is quiet. She loves to chill out on the sofa, but is ready and willing for a walk whenever you might be! Penny is medically ready to be adopted, having had all her shots and a recent dental (no cavities!) Penny does pull a bit on her walks, but is getting a little better about it. She would do well in a family with other dogs, and I believe would also do well as an only hound. This little girl did not seem to know about playing when she first came here, but has recently been interested in the stuffed dog toys, even destuffing a few as she throws her head from side to side in a mock fight. She has been nothing but sweet to all here...except a few stuffed toys, even bowing down to our Queen Alpha hound....she wisely heeded a few growls from Willow and has learned to walk wide of her.
UPDATE July 20, 2009: Penny has been moved to a foster home with children and a few other beagles. We will update her info very soon and get some new pictures after she settles in a little more. She does seem to be enjoying the children and attention they are giving her and has respected our 3 current seniors. She also has gone right outside to do her business. She looked at the steps today but has not been interested in going up them just yet. More to come on our slimmer Penny!!
